This is undoubtedly the Mexican whorehouse scene from On the Road. It takes place close to the end of the book, just after Jack and Neal blasted pot with the Mexican cats, Victor and his brothers, with them all digging each other, not speaking each other’s languages but just having fun being high together in the sun. Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund told us about filming this scene back in December when we were all sitting at Vesuvio in San Francisco.

Garrett said, “Walter basically arranged for us to have this huge spontaneous party when we were shooting in Mexico. Most of it was unscripted. He just brought in the music and the actresses who were playing the girls working in the whorehouse and he told us all to drink and dance and play just as if we were partying in a whorehouse!”

“Well, that sounds like good duty,” I laughed.

“It wasn’t!” Sam Riley piped up. “It was especially hard on me, mate. I just got married a year ago (to German actress and his Control co-star Alexandra Maria Lara) and my wife’s an actress and we hadn’t seen each other much as she was shooting a movie, too. And then Walter goes and puts me in a room full of all these girls tearing all their clothes off! Thanks a lot, Walter!”

Sheen's performance was so dazzling, in fact, that his co-star (and leading man)
Garrett Hedlund revealed that he couldn't even focus on Sheen's words when acting opposite the British performer.
Upon hearing that comment, Sheen couldn't help but laugh: "That's nice to know. It's nice to know that we're in a take, you're right there with me."
EXCLUSIVE: The script for the Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures live action adaptation of anime artist Katsuhiro Otomo’s 6-volume graphic novel Akira has been sent to a short list of actors. The picture is finally taking shape for an August start, following the delivery of a rewrite by Steve Kloves that has director Albert Hughes and the studio brass excited. The story takes place in the rebuilt New Manhattan where a leader of a biker gang saves his friend from a medical experiment. There are two major roles, and I'm told that for Tetsuo, Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield and James McAvoy have been given the new script. For the role of Kaneda, the script has been given to Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Chris Pine, Justin Timberlake and Joaquin Phoenix. The two leads are expected to come from that group of actors.

Andrew Lazar is producing with Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran. Akira has been one of Warner Bros' high priority projects since the studio with Legendary Pictures acquired it for a 7-figure sum 2 years ago from manga publisher Kodansha. The intention has been to make 2 films, each covering 3 books in the series. Akira was first adapted for the screen in 1988.

The director, just announced on Friday to helm the new Daredevil , used social media as a mini press conference to squelch some rumors and add his own thoughts on Fox's superhero line-up.

After the announcement came Friday afternoon, rumors flooded message boards and fan sites on who could be 'The Man Without Fear' including Bradley Cooper, Garrett Hedlund and Robert Pattinson. David Slade got on his Twitter account this weekend to quickly debunk these and also gave his thoughts on two other Fox comic book properties: Deadpool and The Wolverine. He addressed Daredevil first and it looks like the movie will sqarely be a reboot at this time. No actors have even been put on the table at this point, even in any type of a wish list.

Forgot to look at the internet for a few weeks and its a litany of false (and not so far off) rumours. So without breaking confidentiality, yes Daredevil, we have a great outline for a very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock. It will bare no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way. We are at early planning stages and have not yet discussed any cast.
